Therefore the right fixings and brackets must be used, and secured properly. Special considerations regarding the surface an awning is fitted to are nearly always applicable and therefore Blind Technique will always recommend fitting of the awning ourselves by our own fitters.

We survey and provide blind installation on all of our products unless you specifically want supply only or are a trade customer. We only install products that are bought from us and are unfortunately unable to install other suppliers products. All of our fit team are fully trained in blind installation and employed full time so that we can offer the best standards and a high quality finish. Morning appointments will arrive anytime between 8am - 1pm and afternoon appointments will arrive between 12pm - 5pm.

Blind Technique specialises in Conservatory Blinds, Awnings and Shutters. John Pink (owner) has over 40 years' experience in the blinds industry. He started as an electro-pneumatic engineer for heavy press machinery which was used in the clothing industry. This was adapted in the 70's for printing fabrics specifically for the growing window blinds industry. John was originally involved in the design of fabric pleating machines as well as the development of high spec fabrics to both reflect and retain heat.

Our conservatory blinds are a technically advanced product: bespoke manufactured and engineered at our headquarters in the UK to withstand the large temperature variations between the summer and the winter, to resist the powerful UV rays from the sun, and oppose the constant force of gravity.

Blind Technique gives you the option of remote control motorisation for your conservatory blinds and window blinds. Each blind has it's own Somfy motor which is discreetly housed in the headrail. This blind can be individually controlled and operated via a wall mounted switch or a remote control handset, or even programmed to operate at certain times or according to information from a sun and heat sensor. Where there are multiple blinds, such as in a conservatory, the blinds can either be operated individually, all together, or separated into different groups, known as zoning.

When it comes to electric blinds, we only use high quality motors and we are therefore pleased to offer the following brands; Somfy or Louvolite.

This type of blind has become extremely popular over the last few years, moving from a timeless classic to a modern and contemporary 'must-have' to complement today's interior design trends. Blind Technique has a carefully selected range of natural wood shades; choose from dark wood to lighter stains and painted colours. Depending which style and colour you opt for they will be available in several of 4 slat widths, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm or 63mm. Bigger windows tend to favour a wider slat and vice versa, though the choice is largely personal.
