D.C. Groves & Son was established in 1981 by Mr Don Groves with the aim of providing the highest quality service to customers. Don's son Anthony and his wife Karen took over the family business in 1992. Ian Mowl joined in 2004 to complete the management team. Service quality has been continuously improved, firstly by joining The British Association of Removers in 1998 and then gaining certification to the European standard for domestic removals, BS EN 12522 in 2006. In 2013 certification to BS EN 14873 for storage operations was achieved.
D.C. Groves & Son is a long established family run business operating to the highest standards in domestic, European and Worldwide removals. D.C. Groves are members of the British Association of Removers and since August 2006 have also held the the European standard for domestic removals, BS EN 12522. We guarantee consistency and a very high level of service. As a registered member of BAR any advance payments you make for domestic removals are guaranteed. This also applies to goods held in store.
D.C. Groves & Son have been undertaking domestic removals for over 30 years and we pride ourselves on the service we provide. When our surveyor visits you, he will be able to supply you with information regarding our extensive range of services. We have a range of soft covers and wrappings to give your furnishings, televisions, computers, pianos and other precious effects all the necessary protection they require during the move. D.C. Groves & Son have been engaged by local fine arts and antique auction houses for delivery and collection of high value or delicate items for a number of years.
D.C. Groves & Son believes in giving back to the community and supporting charities is a long standing tradition. The company has a partnership with three charities The Hospice in the Weald, The Removers Benevolent Association and The Tenterden Lions Club. We were rather daunted by our move from the east of Kent to Northumberland, however, Jay and Richard ensured that the process was as stress-free as possible. We have moved several times during the past few years and this recent move was by far the easiest, thanks to Jay and Richard.
D.C. Groves & Son has a number of staff especially trained in "Export Packing and Wrapping" designed to protect all items of furniture whilst being exported either by sea in a container or by air in a special air freight carton anywhere in the World. D.C. Groves can move clients all around the World using a trusted network of agents to carry out their shipping requirements. Shipping containers come in a few different sizes and our surveyor will be able to give you some idea of which size you would need at the time of his visit.
It's flyers Friday, more flyers going out to potential customers.

All removals are carried out in a covid safe way, all staff have had non symptom tests and all negative we really do have ours and our customer welfare at the forefront of our minds.
Another busy week at D C Groves & Son and we nearly forgot that last week we turned 40 years old started by Don Groves in 1981. Quite an achievement given the ups and downs of the housing market and we are still going strong. Phone 01580 766957 to discuss your requirements no job too big or too small.
We are still open for business based on the latest Government advice that states Home moving is allowed. You can still move home. People outside your household or support bubble should not help with moving house unless absolutely necessary.
