Our traditional craft skills are also much in evidence in restoration work, bespoke joinery and specialist finishing. Throughout our history, we have maintained a strong focus on the training and development of our workforce. This has been a clear company priority aimed at supporting our staff and providing high levels of both skill and service to our customers and clients.

Coulson Building Group has built many domestic and residential projects throughout their long history. These range from small kitchen and bedroom refurbishments to complete new stand-alone homes. From a block of flats to large housing developments - whatever the size of the project Coulson ensures the best of quality and a high standard of customer care is taken at every stage of the project. We use our extensive knowledge of the industry to work with clients to incorporate the latest techniques and innovations into the design and we apply value engineering techniques resulting in an economically deliverable product that we are proud to be a part of.

Each unit is hand built by professional craftsmen in Coulson Joinery's extensive Cambridge workshop, where both standard and custom specifications can be accommodated. Our standard units are manufactured from 18mm Medium Density Fibreboard with an extensive choice of finish including Melamine or Formica. A wide selection of edgings in all thicknesses is readily available. Choice of ironmongery, upstands and draw sizes complete the range. Worktops are supplied in laboratory grade chemically resistant surfaces in 16,18 or 20mm Trespa or Formica.

As one of Cambridge's leading quality painting and decorating departments we offer the full range of internal and external applications including specialist surface finishes, textured ceilings, paperhanging and all forms of paint finish. Coulson Decorating have the equipment and expertise to deal with all your decorative finishing needs. All jobs are fully supervised to ensure quality and safety standards are met. As part of the Coulson Building Group our craftsmen are able to carry out any remedial work including plastering, carpentry and joinery.

Our Design & Build service is geared to satisfying customers by providing cost and time certainty with added value in terms of design quality. We are currently developing BIM capability so that this can be used on all applicable projects in the future.
