I recently had Chris and team in to create a new downstairs cloakroom from part of my hallway. I am very happy with the result, especially since another company who came to quote told me it couldn't be done!
It was a complex project requiring a variety of trades, including a new window and adjustments to the stairs in addition to more standard bathroom requirements. I really appreciated Chris' contacts, and was very impressed with standard of work from all the trades, as well as the way he clearly requires them to leave the house in good condition at the end of the day! Chris did a great job overseeing it all, including liaising with the council regarding building control, and keeping things moving, with the whole project taking about 2 weeks, as had previously been agreed.
I was grateful for the attention to detail, such as sourcing a second hand period door to fit with the others in the house, as well as accommodating my slightly bizarre request around routing of the waste!
As the build progressed, there were a couple of issues, but as I fed these back to Chris he was very willing to accommodate wherever possible. These were mainly related to the cosmetic appearance of the cloakroom, and I was glad that I was able to keep an eye on this side of things every evening when I got home from work in addition to Chris' project managing, as the trades were understandably very much the top priority in the build.
It was nice to see that even after I paid in full, Chris offered his help in chasing up the electrical certificate if this didn't arrive in good time, although thankfully this was never needed.
Overall, I am really happy with the beautiful and well functioning downstairs cloakroom Chris and the team put in. For me, the particular benefit of using UK Bathroom Guru was the ability to go to a single organisation but get the expertise of a variety of high quality tradesmen, whose work was all coordinated into one smooth whole. I would happily use them again, or recommend others to do the same!
