ESC offer a range of Tarmac resurfacing services using a combination of the latest machine technology and traditional hand laying techniques. Specialists in both domestic and industrial projects, ESC also have the capacity to construct new roads, car parks, Tarmac driveways, and tennis courts from scratch. We can offer a variety of Tarmac, gravel and resin surfaces to suit every requirement. From durable heavy duty Tarmac and SMA asphalt designed to withstand heavy traffic usage, to the more decorative smooth and coloured Tarmac finishes associated with the domestic Tarmac driveway, patio or pathway.

ESC Surfacing have traded throughout the South of England for more than 30 years and have a dedicated team of skilled, full time operatives. Following our formation in the early 1980's, business was primarily based on Tarmac surfacing work. Domestic driveways, road building and repair, school playgrounds, car parks, drives and other similar civil engineering projects. ESC soon recognised the increasing demand for both decorative and functional surfaces including, hot sprayed 'tar and chip' surfacing (also known as 'surface dressing') available in coloured granite and shingle / Gravel aggregates, anti skid safety surfaces and coloured Tarmacadam surfaces.

At almost 30 years old this driveway (below) had a deteriorated surface, sub-base and drainage problems. The customer requested an extension of the drive onto the lawn area, paver block edgings and an additional drain to prevent a problem with surface water which had been pooling by the front door. A 6mm sized aggregate Tarmac was used and white granite chips were rolled into the surface for decoration.

Modern asphalt and macadams contain additives that greatly increase durability and longevity. Machine laid materials are avaiable for industrial use that offer oil and chemical resistant properties, and for areas of poor drainage, open graded 'porous' materials allow surface water to pass through for natural dispersion. ESC will always fully assess your project to ensure the correct material is utilised to the required laying method and specification. The surface of this industrial area was badly deteriorated and, due to an inadequate drainage system, was prone to flooding.
