You've come to the right place. Paint the Town Green was London's first environmentally-friendly decorating company. Founded by Phil Robinson in 2007, it was cited in the national press as a "firm which defines a new species of tradesperson". Paint the Town Green offers a bespoke decorating service, a truly personal service and we also have a fabulous range of designer eco-paint all named after rock and roll tracks paying homage to Phil's love of music. Paint the Town Green is in effect a complete decorating outfit.
Matt emulsion and wipeable emulsion are for walls and ceilings and eggshell is for interior wood e.g. So, the only decision you need to make really is whether you want a very flat matt finish or whether it is important to you to be able to wipe down your walls. Wipeable is exactly that: wipeable. With this eco-friendly emulsion the marks left by small hands or muddy wellies can be easily removed with a damp cloth. That's why we recommend wipeable in heavy traffic areas of the home such as hallways, bathrooms and kitchens.
If you are an experienced decorator looking for work, we'd love to hear from you. We are always keen to meet enthusiastic, experienced decorators to join our expanding team. Applicants must ideally have at least 5 years experience, have CIS details and be hard working. An ability to wallpaper would be an asset but not essential. If interested, please email us at hellodecorating@paintthetowngreen.co.uk or call 020 8871 0531.
We have several highly-skilled wallpaper hangers in our team and are regularly recommended by wallpaper suppliers to their customers. We can advise on any preparation necessary to walls prior to hanging the paper and then carry out that preparation work as necessary. We have hung all types of wallpaper and we don't shy away from even the most expensive, delicate kinds. With our extensive knowledge we often advise our customers which suppliers to go to for certain styles. Once you have chosen your wallpaper, we also tell you how many rolls you will need to order and ensure that the correct paste is used, as different paper manufacturers recommend certain types.
At Paint the Town Green we have painted the outside of hundreds of homes. Although our own paint range is only for interiors, we use suitable paints and fillers for exterior work to ensure longevity and take great pride in delivering the same exacting standards as we do with our interior work. We work with several reputable scaffolding companies and include arranging and supervising the erecting and dismantling of any scaffolding required for the job so that the work can be carried out safely and efficiently.
Paint the Town Green was set up in 2007 by Phil Robinson and cited in the national press as a "firm which defines a new species of tradesperson". We offer a one-stop bespoke decorating service and a pioneering range of environmentally friendly paint. With over 20 years of experience under our belt, our knowledge is vast. We can do it all - from hanging wallpaper to fulfilling all of your painting needs. We can recommend trusted other trades to ensure your project goes smoothly with minimal hassle, stress and disruption to your home.
At Paint the Town Green we provide a bespoke, all-encompassing home decorating service, always to exacting standards and under the supervision of our Client Liaison Manager. Founder Phil Robinson is also often on-site, ensuring that our code of conduct document (issued to all our decorators) is being adhered to meticulously. Our decorators are fully insured, DBS checked, and work to the highest standard. In fact, we are so confident of our finish that if you're not 100% happy with any aspect of our work we'll redo it for free.
When it comes to decorating, detail is paramount. The only way to ensure a high-quality finish is to carry out the correct preparation prior to painting and we pride ourselves on this; always ensuring that enough time is allowed for in our costs to prepare surfaces thoroughly and correctly before any paint is applied. Failure to do so not only results in a sub-standard finish but can also impact on the longevity of the work as paint may start to peel or bubble from incorrectly-prepared surfaces.
