Hi, I'm Sam Mitchell, managing director at Sashed, thanks for visiting our site. I always like to know a little bit about the people I buy from, so here's little about the people behind Sashed. I grew up with windows and doors around me from a very young age. My mum had a leadership role in one of the largest domestic and commercial aluminium & uPVC manufacturers in Northern Ireland so windows and doors have always been in my blood. Instead of going into the family business I followed my passion for computers and took my first job in IT with America Online (AOL) in Dublin.

We can create any design, both modern and period styles. We can also replicate and match your existing traditional wooden front & back doors to meet conservation area and listed building requirements. Our timber entrance doors comprise a range of classically styled door designs and a timeless collection of sympathetically designed period door styles inspired by the aesthetics of the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian eras. Each can be individually tailored to create bespoke options to suit your specific requirements and we combine the latest modern security features, performance, and technology into each of our door-sets.

Sashed create double glazed, timber casement windows to suit period and modern homes throughout London, crafted to your specification. Our casement windows are exquisitely finished, robust, secure and thermally efficient. We can replicate existing designs and are experts in the recreation of casement windows for homes in conservation areas and listed buildings. Sashed offer a range of timber casement window styles depending on your property's aesthetics and requirements. Every casement window is bespoke and made to measure.

Since April 2002, all replacement glazing has come within the scope of building regulations. This means anyone who installs replacement windows or doors has to comply with thermal performance standards (just replacing the glass is exempt). Building regulations exist to ensure the health and safety of people in and around all types of buildings. They also provide for energy conservation, access to, and use of buildings. If you are using Sashed fitting services then your installation will comply with current building regulations as Sashed are full members of a self certification building regulations scheme called FENSA, when your installation is complete Sashed will register it with FENSA, who will post a building regulations compliance certificate directly to you and register your property as compliant with your local authority.

We can replicate any design, whether period or modern, with double or single doors. We can also undertake modifications to the size or shape of openings, for example, if you are replacing a sash window with French doors. Our standard external French door is a traditional flush door system which can be designed to incorporate a number of single and double door leaf configurations, with side panels and fanlights, if required. The traditional flush French door is available opening inwards where external space is limited, on balconies for example, or opening outwards to avoid encroaching on internal living space.

Combining versatility, security, performance and elegance, timber bi-folding doors are a beautiful way to bring the outdoors in to your home. Choose from from two to eight doors in combination and from a range of sliding & opening directions. We understand that not every home possesses the luxury of space, our bi-folding doors make it possible to have beautiful looking doors that won't take up more room than necessary. Our range of bi-folding doors create a seamless transition between a room and the outdoors.

Sashed warrants that services shall be supplied using reasonable skill and care for a period of ten years from the date of installation of the goods which shall be of a satisfactory quality as defined within the Sale of Goods Act 1979. Meaning reasonably fit for the purpose of which they are supplied for and free from defects in material & workmanship. Sashed warrants that products come with a comprehensive warranty providing you with the peace of mind that your new timber windows and doors will last for many years to come.

Our typical lead time is 6-8 weeks on supply only orders. It's very rare that our lead time exceeds eight weeks and orders are usually fulfilled within six to seven weeks. While we make every effort to ensure that delivery and collection times are met we cannot accept responsibility for any damage or consequential loss arising out of any delay. If you are booking a third party to install your windows or doors, please do not confirm any dates with them until you have taken delivery of all of your windows and doors.

At Sashed we recognise that buying new windows and doors is a significant investment. We aim to make that process as simple and worry-free as possible and provide you with a first-class product that you can be proud of. From the day you visit Sashed.com to the moment your order is completed we undertake to provide you with the best possible customer service. During cleaning the paint surface should be checked and any damage to the paint/stain surface should be repaired and re-painted to maintain the integrity of the protective coating.

Other options such as repainting walls are available, depending on your individual requirements. As well as installing windows and doors, we can also undertake modifications to the size or shape of openings, for example, if you are replacing a sliding sash window with a French door. When using our installation services, and as members of the FENSA scheme both your deposit and warranty are independently insured with an insurance backed guarantee policy from The Independent Warranty Association (IWA).
