Our roofers have massive experience and expertise in renewing or repairing all types of roofs. Our roofers are highly skilled, fully qualified, and fully insured in the unlikely case of accidents. They will undertake everything from a small leak to a completely new roof with the utmost care and competence. Once the roof membrane is installed and the new wooden batons, all the roof tiles were re-laid, replacing any damaged ones. We can repair, clean or fit guttering, downpipes, fascias and soffits and can fully insulate all types of roof, including pitched and flat roofs.
Guttering is used to collect rainwater from the roof and direct the flow of water as it drains. Gutters catch the water and direct it into the down pipes, and towards a drain. Guttering is fixed with the appropriate "fall" to prevent the water from pooling in places that it should not, which could eventually lead to your gutters overflowing, which is then likely to cause other problems. Guttering plays an important role in keeping your home pest free and dry, they are also highly important from an aesthetic point of view.
UPVC soffits and fascias are hardwearing and cope well with exposure to moisture. Wooden soffits are a popular rustic or period feature, but they are more likely to rot and decay quickly, threatening the integrity of the rest of the roof structure. Fascias are traditionally a softwood board which is mounted to the exposed edges of your rafters, however in recent years this has been replaced with high grade uPVC as softwood has a tendency to rot. The purpose of a fascia is to protect and seal the roof and the interior of your home from exposure to the elements, to support roof tiles at an eaves level and to provide support for the guttering.
It is important to have your chimney inspected to ensure it is stable and secure. The chimney, being the highest point of the roof is under constant attack from the weather, and over time, the mortar between the bricks with crack and break. If left it will create instability of the brickwork and eventually may fall, which may damage the roof or anything on ground level i.e. vehicles or people. Chimney showing the mortar between the bricks is cracked, disintegrating and missing in places. This leads to the bricks becoming unstable and will, if not repaired, cause the chimney to fall.
