This is a new home in Cowes that I designed to replace a 1940s bungalow. It provides splendid views of the Solent from the first-floor living room and the master suite on the second floor. The house faces the sea, we designed the front as a huge glass gable to truly take in the view. It is supported with a structural mast reminiscent of the old square riggers, carrying glass balconies and a projecting ridge beam to carry an overhanging roof. Wight Architecture was appointed to design and manage the modernisation and refurbishment of this penthouse on the roof of Fort Albert.
As a RIBA Chartered Architect, I will provide you with much more than just the drawings for your new home or business venture. You will be fully involved in creating a totally tailored solution for your living needs. I have the experience to see your project safely through to completion, overseeing the design, the planning and building regulations, the builders and your budget. You can appoint me to manage any or all parts of the design and construction process. I will help you to define your objectives for the project, identify the risks involved and interpret your ideas imaginatively, and expertly work with you to develop a design that will maximise your investment, be economic to build and run, and, of course, bring you years of comfort and pleasure.
