As designer makers of beautiful, timeless curtain poles, our roots lie in the supply of luxury curtain poles to the interior design trade, with a particular emphasis on unusual finishes, an extensive colour palette and hand finishing. All designed for individuals who want a distinctive, designer product. Walcot House is a small dedicated UK company, started in 1999 by our founder, Samantha Sandberg, who still works in the business today. Our online system simplifies the whole process of purchasing curtains poles and components.

50mm diameter metal curtain poles, made with real stainess steel for a crisp contemporary look. The 50mm diameter stainless steel curtain pole is made of superior, thick walled metal which will support the weight of thick, heavy, lined and interlined curtains, as used by the top end interior design industry. We recommend you buy this pole set with our support arms to increase the strength of your end brackets, to help with crumbly walls, long pole spans or heavy curtains. Ensure you have enough brackets to support the weight of your curtains, as an approximate guide we advise a max span of 240cm between brackets.

Add a minimum of 15cm either side, preferably more, but for full curtains or wide windows allow at least 25cm if you have the room, excluding the length of the finials (decorative pole ends).

Curtain poles can be complicated so we strongly recommend a call or even a visit to one of our partners who can guide you through what can be a less than straightforward process. Their advice is invaluable and will save you hours of trying to work out what you need, and the frustrations of getting it wrong. With a hint of 'shabby chic' style the finish of the poles is of the highest quality, several layers of stain executed by hand and topped with wax to ensure smooth gliding of the curtain rings.

Made with real stainless steel our made to measure metal curtain pole sets are complemented by a vast range of luxurious finials available in 19mm, 30mm, and 50mm diameters. Ever popular, our brushed stainless steel curtain poles offer a stylish alternative to chrome curtain poles with high quality finish and durability at the forefront of our designs. These curtain pole sets are also available without curtain rings for hanging eyelet curtains or for use in conjunction with our unique no sew pleating ring and rivet system.

With our double curtain pole sets, you canachieve privacy during the day without blocking out light. Hang sheers or voiles on the back pole, and heavier weight lined or interlined curtains on the front pole to create an elegant layered look, with the practical bonus of daytime privacy, not to mention the benefit of an extra thermal layer.
