Formed as a plumbing and heating company which became nominated SEGAS installers and CORGI registered, the company had some 16 vans and installers operating from Commerce Chambers in Penhill Road Lancing. Needing more space Leaneys acquired the freehold to no 41 Penhill Road Lancing in 1978. The premises were set out mainly to office space and through the shop plumbing and heating equipment was the main product on offer a small number of bathrooms were added. During the next few years the company expanded and displayed more and more bathrooms into 43,45,47, and then 49 Penhill Road Lancing thus becoming one of the largest independant Sanitaryware showrooms in the South of England.
