Venetian blinds provide a stylish covering for windows enabling the blind to be down with slats opened or closed, or the blind pulled-up to the headrail allowing full light to enter the room. We provide Venetians in different slat sizes varying from 25 mm up to 50 mm. We make curtains in a variety of designs, shapes and styles, from a small window to large theatre curtains. There are many beautiful fabrics available today and we can now print on blackout cloth that does not require lining, thereby reducing costs.

Roller Blinds are perhaps the most well-known type of blind that can be used in most window situations. Ideal as they can be pulled-up completely to leave the window free for light to flow through. Roller blinds are perfect for deflecting the sunlight or even with the use of blackout fabric to completely darken a room. We use a 38 mm headrail as standard, however 32 mm and 45 mm options are also available depending on space for fitting.

Pleated blinds can be free-hanging, tensioned or perfect fit blinds which fit directly into the window frame itself. These are very popular, providing a stylish look to a window.

ALL of our high quality linings are flame retardant and meet stringent UK and international safety standards. Bournemouth Curtains offer a selection of curtain linings, particularly blackout linings which are available in cream or white. Highly effective for sound absorption, they make an ideal lining for acoustic curtains, and are also suitable for hearing impaired children. We also offer a range of sateen and cotton curtain linings which can be ordered in a selection of colours.

Vertical blinds give you the option of having the window covered at all times with the advantage of being able to have the slats partly opened, or closed to suit your requirements. They can also be stacked to either side of the window or a split draw. Slats can easily be replaced should they be required, however, vertical blinds do need to be used correctly with window sills being kept clear and the slats opened before drawing to the side! Vertical blinds are suitable in areas with a slope, stepped, or curved window - unlike a roller blind - and enables more versatility in an awkward space.
