Our Painted ranges are polyurethane and not the commonly used relatively inexpensive lacquer that local kitchen suppliers offer. Despite polyurethane being a more expensive manufacturing process than lacquer it is worth the effort. Polyurethane produces the hardest, most durable painted surface in the wood-finishing industry and is why it is also used on flooring. The painting process has two top coats and two base coats. This means there is no orange peel effect or colour fade. It produces 96% sheen.
