Since our foundation in 1962 Soundcraft has endeavoured to meet and exceed industry standards covering CSR, sustainability, heath and safety, and certification.

Founded in 1962, Soundcraft stands firmly on a history of innovation and excellent service provision. Our reputation as industry leaders has been carefully built from each bespoke solution that we have provided for our clients. Significant investment in recent years in people, machinery, product development and testing ensures that Soundcraft is able to compete in a number of different construction markets. Throughout most of its history the Company has been timber and joinery orientated, producing and installing high quality doors and windows as evidenced by projects such as Falcon Wharf for Carillion and the All England Tennis Club at Wimbledon (valued at 1.6 million and 700k respectively).

Soundcraft's range of aluminium curtain wall systems provide specifiers with a wide choice of performance and aesthetic options. The three systems have an almost unlimited choice of colours and are completely compatible with Soundcraft's aluminium door and window systems. Where security is an issue and compliance with Part Q of the Building Regulations is a requirement, Soundcraft's curtain wall systems are tested to PAS 24 and are covered by Secured by Design (SBD). A flexible aluminium curtain wall system with strong aesthetic and practical credentials.

There are three tilt & turn aluminium window options offering thermal enhancement, a full choice of colours, finishes and hardware. All Soundcraft aluminium tilt & turn windows (supply only or supply and fit) are fully compatible with our curtain walling and door systems, making them a sound choice. The PURe tilt & turn window offers ultra-low U-values, Part Q compliance through SBD, and is 100% recyclable. PURe windows are fully compatible with Soundcraft Aluminium Doors and Curtain Walling and are available in a wide range of colours.

Soundcraft offers a wide range of aluminium entrance doors to suit all applications. Thermal performance, security and aesthetics are all catered for across the three door brands the Company produces. Whether open in or out, double or single action, or single or double doors, Soundcraft's AEDs give specifiers the ultimate choice. SD doors are a robust door solution offering single, double and emergency options, complete with low thresholds and anti-finger trap (AFT) features based on pivots. Conventional hinged options provide single and double open in or open out performance, whilst pivots offer a double acting alternative.

Soundcraft has a wide range of aluminium windows to suit most design and performance requirements. Five window options are available providing significant performance in the fields of thermal efficiency (Part L of the Building Regulations), and security (Part Q of the Building Regulations).

Soundcraft's installation service is available for most products. Of particular note and importance is our membership of Exova BM Trada's 3rd Party Certification Scheme for the Installation of Fire Doors. This scheme is soon to be expanded to include Certification for maintenance of Fire Doors. The Company strongly recommends that it installs certain products to provide the best outcome for customers. This is particularly so for Communal Security Doors and screens and curtain walling. A single source of responsability for manufacture and installation has been proved by experience to be in the best interests of both Soundcraft and more importantly its customers.

Soundcraft manufactures, distributes and installs perhaps the widest range of bespoke door, window and curtain wall products in the UK. Third party certified manufacture and installation of fire doors with Exova BM Trada, and Secured by Design (SBD) on front entrance doors (FEDs), provides confidence for specifiers and contractors. Secured by Design communal security doors (CSDs) in aluminium and steel, plus FSC CSDs constitute an unrivalled resource for social housing professionals, whether engaged on new build or refurbishment projects.

Soundcraft provides construction industry professionals with a major resource to deal with performance issues in the fields of doors, windows and curtain walling. The Company offers solutions in the demanding areas of fire resistance, security and thermal performance, allowing compliance with the Building Regulations, in particular Approved Documents B (fire), L (heat loss) and Q (security). Fire resisting timber flush doors, doorsets and glazed screens are manufactured under the Exova BM Trada 3rd Party Certification Scheme: installation of these critical products is available, backed by the Exova BM Trada Installation Certification Scheme.

We have full time draughtsmen/designers operating the Drawing Express CAD package. This enables detailed drawings to be provided for customers and clients to approve before manufacture starts. The drawing stage enables the incorporation, if needed, of project specific detailing to enhance performance. Surveying can often be a crucial precursor of the design process. Soundcraft can provide experienced surveyors to ensure that all aspects of the openings into which our products are to be installed are taken into account during the design stage.

The extensive range of Soundcraft front entrance doors (FEDs) includes flush doors that offer security - PAS 24 and Secured by Design; fire resistance - FD30 & FD60; significant weather resistance, and degrees of sound attenuation. They are designed to provide maximum security solutions with a wide range of locking options, strength, durability, reliability, along with long term weather and draught proofing.
