The outer cover of your upholstery can be made from a variety of fibres, including cotton, polyester and draylon. All upholstery is carefully inspected prior to cleaning for faults, rips, tears and for cleaning instructions form manufacturers. We then decide on the most suitable cleaning process according to the type of material and degree of soiling. To prepare for cleaning your upholstery, we place a plastic cover on the floor and cotton sheets over this to protect the floor covering. We also place cotton sheets on surrounding furniture to protect them.
Leather is a natural animal skin and just like our own skin it needs to be looked after and maintained on a regular basis in order to prolong the life of the leather. Leather represents more than 50% of upholstered furniture sold today. There are a number of different types of leather ranging from: Pigmented, Aniline, Wax Pull-up, Oil Pull-up, Antique effect finish, Two-tone pigment, Bi-cast and Nu-buck. Each of these leathers needs a different method of cleaning. Pigmented leather is a leather that is coated with a pigment that gives it a top coat.
