That extra special deep clean / spring clean is ideal when you are moving in or out of a property, preparing your home to sell, have the in-laws visiting, after building or renovating works or just need a complete freshen up in advance of a family get together. Within each house we operate a strict cleaning process using coloured cloths for different areas, to avoid cross contamination and arrive with a fresh set of materials for each house. All our maids are trained in Health and Safety regulations and procedures for the correct use of products and equipment.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with the cleaning service we have provided, all you have to do is contact your Merry Maids local office, within 24 hours of our visit, and explain the problem. We will be happy to return to your home, at the earliest possible time to re-clean whatever is in question. This is at no additional cost to you.

All too often tenants are faced with huge bills for end of tenancy cleaning and this often comes out of a security deposit. Merry Maids, when used on a regular basis, can keep on top of your cleaning (so you don't have to!) and we GUARANTEE that you will not lose your security deposit on the basis of your property being left unclean at the end of your agreement. We offer weekly, fortnigtly and monthly cleaning services and will work around you and your requirements. Not only that but if you sign up to our weekly or fortnightly cleaning service for the duration of your tenancy, we'll give you a FREE end of tenancy clean as well!

We may also recommend giving your home a mini spring clean (what we call a "First Time In Clean") on our first visit to you and the benefits of this and the work that will be undertaken will be discussed in detail with you. You'll be given a copy of your estimate so that you are fully aware of the activities we'll carry out on each visit to clean your home. Our prices vary for weekly, fortnightly and 4-weekly cleans. We customise our prices around you and your home and we can work around your budget by tailoring your cleaning programme to spend more time in the rooms you use the most often, and less in the ones that you don't. Typically, each time we clean a regular customer's home, two different rooms will be cleaned more thoroughly (on a rotation basis). So you should never need to spring clean your home again! Often people request one-off cleans in advance of special occasions - parties, celebrations or family visits!

Merry Maids can work as part of a tenancy agreement to regularly clean your clients' properties - keeping them clean and tidy for the duration of the agreement so that there are no end of tenancy surprises. Wooden worktops are usually treated with a tough laminate layer. If you have untreated wood however, go easy. To clean, make sure you avoid using abrasive cleaners as these can scratch the wood. Instead, use a soapy liquid cleaner that is especially designed for wood or dilute washing-up liquid. Always dry scrupulously afterwards. You will do the most damage if you leave wood wet. Regularly treat the wood, no more than once a month with wax to prevent cracking. Merry Maids recommends using a natural-wax based polish (never a silicon-based one).
