We can provide advice, reports and designs to get the best form your cattle and buildings. We can typically provide a report for shed ventilation for 100 if you are able to provide the required information without the need for a site visit. Contact us for further information and a quote. While many cattle buildings end up with ridges formed from cranked crown ridge panels interspersed with ventilating sections, the amount of airflow they allow is never sufficient for housed cattle and will lead to increased health problems.
One thing that can be hard however is integrating some of the good ideas into your building. It may not be straight forward. This can be due tothings like ground levels, existing building andcan sometimes mean that the ideas you are trying toincorporatewill just not work as you saw them. Also integrating lots of different ideas from different farms can cause problems if things are not thought about fully. Quite often one good idea like an open ridge to give good ventilation can cause problems if you have cubicles below it as the cubicles bedding can become wet in bad weather.
Nice to see one of our clients sheds progressing well. We sorted out the planning and building warrant for this extension to the existing poultry shed which we did the same paperwork for for a few years ago. Glad to see the new venture working well and expanding.
We have another project in the planning stages. McColm Civil & Structural Engineers were out looking at the ground conditions yesterday. The project is a free range poultry shed for 32000 birds. Planning submitted and fingers crossed it will be approved later this month.
One of our repeat clients is selling up and moving to pastures new, we carried out the all design work for the dairy unit built in 2012, then further work on slurry lagoons and more recently work on a new cubicle shed over the old parlour site.
At least for most of my client its just the noise they here. To any of them that wonder whats going on its probably something like this. David Agri Design
