An existing Georgian semi-detached home in the Stockbridge area of Edinburgh has been improved by major alterations on the ground floor to provide new kitchen / dining areas, as well as improved connections to the garden. A simple, sensitive extension was added to the south, to provide a new family room that opens up to allow garden and house to work together. Within the rest of the house, the principle rooms were refurbished; new dormers added at roof level to maximise bedroom spaces and daylight; new bathrooms were fitted to bring the house up to modern requirements.

A long established workwear store within the ground floor and basement of an existing tenement in the Centre of Edinburgh has been refurbished with the principle that the original ethos was to remain a 'family-run, traditional, customer-friendly ' shop. Existing areas were reorganised to provide not only the support spaces required but also maximum retail area, whilst still encouraging but 'controlling' customers. Traditional display units were refurbished and reused and new elements designed to be in keeping with these.
