Haines Phillips Architects was formed in 2007 by the amalgamation of two accomplished award-winning firms, Andrews Downie and Partners and Knight Phillips Architects. We are based in Central London's WC1 area within a short walking distance from King's Cross St. Pancras. We are an RIBA Chartered Practice with a wide range of experience working in both private and public sectors. Residential development makes up the majority of our portfolio, which also includes commercial, mixed use, educational, medical, theatre, leisure and arts projects.
On projects within the high-end residential sector and for private clients, we offer an in-house interior design service. This can include the full design of bathrooms and kitchens as well as joinery and lighting design and the selection of finishes and fittings.
We are highly experienced in successfully dealing with the particular challenges of listed buildings. One ongoing example of this is our project for the design of internal and external alterations of our clients' Grade II listed 18th century house in the Arundel Conservation Area in order to make it.
Continuing the theme of improving and maximising the potential and quality of our clients homes we present here our roof space flat conversion project in Haringey, North London. The existing building was a typical 1930s two storey terraced house that had been subdivided in the 1980s in to 4.
We have noted an uptick in our private residential work over the past year, as people have considered improvements so that their homes better suit their current lifestyle and work/home balance. One example from our portfolio is our side extension project at an end of terrace family home in Crouch.
Site visit to our mixed use development in Cardiff city centre where stripping out and demolition work has now been completed. We are converting, refurbishing and extending the building to create a ground and basement level restaurant with flexible commercial office space above#sitevisit #cardiff #.
Some appropriately wintery images of our Ship Street mixed use development in Brighton's historic Lanes quarter. The project comprised the redevelopment of a dilapidated four story building to create a restaurant unit on the ground and basement floors with three high quality residential apartments.
