We are an Architect led design firm that has built its reputation since 2009 on the quality of our designs and delivery of projects around the world. We put the dialogue with clients at the heart of the design process. We always take time to thoroughly analyse and explore your brief, challenging assumptions and preconceptions. Our lateral thinking ensures the final design strategy is one that delivers the maximum potential from each site, and a design that is practical, flexible and open to the future.
We envisage the new building as both a striking arrival point and the hub of a network of landscaped paths and facilities connecting the Reserve with the wider Darent Valley sites. The "S"-shaped structure curves around a garden as the principal gateway into the Reserve for visitors arriving by car or coach on one side, or by foot and bicycles on the other. A green ramp near the entrance path provides pedestrian access a sloping green roof with a panoramic view of the whole Reserve and a route down to the path around the West Lake.
This was a project to make an extraordinary kitchen extension. We were approached by Paul and Anushya to extend and refurbish their late Victorian Semi in Weston Park, Crouch End, North London. The brief was to first and foremost extend the kitchen but bring more and easier visual and physical connections to the garden. We looked at the potentials of connecting, not only to the garden, but to the rear living room, which would bring it back to live with garden and kitchen spacial synergies. This had further knock-on effects on the level above so a terrace off the spare bedroom/office was enlarged and natural light was brought in from the ceiling.
