We supply and install a wide range of energy efficient heating and renewable energy solutions. It's our aim to make your home or business premises warm and cosy - and reduce your energy bills at the same time. Our expert engineers take on both new and retrofit installations for self-builders and renovators, plumbing and heating engineers, developers and architects. We're equally happy to work from your own plans, or provide advice and guidance on design, layout and technical issues. From single room installations to entire blocks of flats, we have the resources and knowledge to deliver the perfect solution, every time.
Here at Radiant Heating Solutions, we've been leading the field in advanced heating technologies for over 25 years. Founded by Managing Director Nick Critchley, we started out as HCC Heating Solutions - the first UK company to develop and market an oil-condensing boiler. This worked at 98% efficiency, thanks to condenser technology and weather compensating software. This boiler was so efficient that it was the first of its kind with an all-plastic flue system. That was back in 1990 and the market's seen a lot of changes since then!
Ground source heat pumps (GSHP) are the most efficient type of heat pump, but they're also more expensive than air source heat pumps. They work more effectively because the ground is a more consistent heat source than air. Most GSHP installations qualify for the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI). It's very important to choose the right size of heat pump for the job you want it to do, but we can help you with this if required. Radiant Heating Solutions can supply GSHPs that also cool water by reversing the refrigeration process.
We've partnered with Variotherm to supply and install wall and ceiling heating and cooling systems. These advanced technologies will keep your property warm in winter and cool in summer, helping you stay comfortable all year round. Wall and ceiling heating systems are becoming more popular in the UK, due to the many advantages they offer home and business owners. We usually combine our wall and ceiling heating installations with an air or ground source heat pump. This helps you save even more energy and money whilst protecting the environment.
Solar Photovoltaic (PV) panels are a fantastic way to tackle high energy bills, as you'll be using the power of daylight to generate your own clean electricity. For maximum benefits, you could install solar panels alongside a heat pump, helping you further reduce your costs by making the most of amazing renewable energy. Solar PV panels absorb daylight, meaning they even work on cloudy days, and convert it into electricity. Of course, the more sunshine there is, the more power your array will generate, so the amount of energy you produce will vary with the weather conditions.
Here at Radiant Heating Solutions, we've been offering renewable energy solutions since the late 1990s. Our expert team have designed, supplied and installed countless systems into new and existing buildings, working with owner-builders, architects, plumbing and heating engineers and property developers. As well as installing ground and air source heat pumps and solar PV panels, we also offer expert advice about the government-funded Renewable Heat Incentive and Feed-In Tariff schemes. These help you or your customers get the maximum benefit from our installations.
We've been designing, supplying and installing underfloor heating systems since 1992, so you can be confident we know our stuff. Our installation engineers are highly experienced in both new and retrofit installations for a wide variety of projects - from upgrading a single room in an existing building to barn conversions, extensions and new builds. An underfloor heating system can provide both heating and cooling, providing it's connected to a heat pump with a cooling function. The only variation is the room thermostat which has to be a heating and cooling device.
