Oakman Architecture was formed in 2012 by Nigel Coleman and Benjamin Smith to create a transparent, reliable, client focused and professional firm offering Architectural and Surveyor services to the Commercial and Residential property markets. Previously working together as colleagues on various projects at a prestigious London practice, they realised that they could offer a practical, no nonsense approach to the industry that clients often sought. Both coming from families of joiners and builders and having grown up around building sites, they understood that transferring this knowledge into practical design would ensure successful projects for their clients.
Oakman Architecture are involved in, and have completed, a variety of commercial services for clients including change of use to residential, Office fit-outs, School refurbishments, Resident Association major works, Warehouse design, Office Extensions and Retail refurbishments.
We have undertaken a wide range of Residential projects from simple rear extensions and loft conversions to new build houses. Our experience with Planning and Building Control, and a renowned eye for good design and construction, means that the majority of our residential projects are repeat customers and recommendations. We aim for practicality in all of our projects emphasising a cost balance for our clients investment.
