Our preferred make of boiler is Intergas. You may not know the name but they have been producing their boilers for many years now and have a reputation for reliability. They have two main advantages over other makes. Firstly they use large bore pipes in their heat exchange so unlikely to block. Secondly their combi boiler does not have a diverter valve, the part that goes wrong in so many other boilers. We have also fitted their range of standard heating boilers which run quieter than the original boilers.

It is a wise idea to have your boiler serviced at least once per year, Most newer boilers are room sealed but older ones can be open flued. This means they take in air from within the house. This type needs extra attention to ensure they take fumes out of the flue safely. With such boilers we advise that you always have a working carbon monoxide alarm installed. If your boiler is new enough to still be under warranty then be cautious if your heating stops working and you call out the manufacturer.
