Ecoliving is a specialist provider and award winner of micro-renewable energy solutions - heat pumps, biomass boilers, combined heat and power (CHP), underfloor heating, solar and wood burning stoves. We also offer service, repair and maintenance.

Ecoliving was one of the first companies to be established with a total focus on renewable energy back in 2004 and now with over 10 years' experience we continue to offer our unique range of solutions from offices across the UK. You can expect first class quality and excellent customer service because this is how we have built our reputation and it is just as much a priority today. Ecoliving's single source service can be summarised under the key delivery stages: Consult; Design; Install; Maintain.

At Ecoliving, we have over 12 years' experience of designing, installing and maintaining domestic and commercial heat pump systems, so you know that you are in good hands. We repair and service ground source, air source and exhaust air heat pumps. As service partners for manufacturers such asDanfoss, Dimplex, Mitsubishi, NIBE and Thermia, we can repair and service almost any make and model. We service domestic heat pumps and have maintenance contracts in place for commercial installations. Ecoliving has been designing, installing, servicing and repairing heat pumps since 2004.

Wood-burning stoves provide efficient space heating for the heart of any home. Timber grown to be burned in order to produce heat can be deemed as carbon neutral since the CO2 released when burning is equal to the CO2 absorbed during growth. As long as the wood comes from a source where new trees are planted to replace those that are harvested then there is balance. Modern wood-burning stoves will surprise you with their efficiency and cleanliness. They are easy and quick to light and clean, leaving little ash.

Underfloor Heating distributes radiant heat from a single heat source within a building, as compared to the alternative radiators which deliver heat through convection causing air movement and hot ceilings. Underfloor heating can deliver an additional level of comfort and running cost efficiency due to the singular heat source being a radiant emitter. For millennia, humans have evolved with radiant heat sources such as the sun and fire, making our ideal for thermal comfort the characteristics of radiant heating; warm surfaces, cool air and little air movement.

Solar energy is plentiful and essential for life here on earth. The sun is 1 million times bigger than planet earth and by far the biggest source of energy available to us today. In fact, if the human race used only solar energy for all its energy needs (assuming 100% absorption of solar radiation) it would only take 88 minutes of solar radiation to meet our total energy requirements for a whole year! Solar energy is renewable and clean and there are a number of ways we can harness it for use in our homes and buildings, naturally maximising the solar gain or generating our own energy using solar thermal or photovoltaic (PV) panels.

With over 12 years of experience of heat pump design, installation and servicing, Ecoliving has an impressive track record when it comes to troubleshooting and repairing all types of heat pumps including ground and water source, air source and exhaust air. We have repaired domestic heat pumps that others had given up on and successfully troubleshooted and repaired commercial heat pump systems. An example of this is a heat pump and underfloor heating system in a school that 3 or 4 contractors, over 4 years, tried unsuccessfully to get up and running.

Heat pumps are energy efficient heating systems that harness and utilise renewable heat energy from the environment. The heat energy is upgraded, via a refrigeration cycle, producing enough hot water at a high enough temperature to supply a building with heating and hot water. Each of these sources capture solar energy throughout the day that can then be utilised and converted into heat energy, providing an environmentally friendly way of heating your property. Heat pumps intelligently heat your property, replacing conventional oil and gas boilers, which are typically about 80-90% efficient and all-electric system and can now be found in thousands of homes across the UK.

There are many good reasons for installing renewable energy in your home: reduce your running costs; increase comfort levels by maintaining a stable indoor temperature; get paid to generate your own electricity; protect yourself against rising energy prices; minimise your carbon footprint. Maybe you are one of 4 million households across the UK still heating your home with oil, LPG, solid fuel or electricity and are worried about the rising cost of fossil fuels. We can help you assess what it means to convert to a renewable energy heating system like aheat pumpsystemorbiomass boiler, what you will save and what incentives are available.

If the answer to any of these is 'Yes' then you could be eligible for the non-domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) and 20 years of quarterly payments for the renewable heat you generate. Alternatively, if you are responsible for your own self-assessed tax returns, you could claim up to 100% of the capital cost of your installation through the Enhance Capital Allowance Scheme but you would not qualify for the RHI - both benefits cannot be claimed in combination. There are many good reasons why renewable energy is increasingly being installed in public buildings: reducing running costs; complying with legislation; aiming for a high BREEAM rating or Code for Sustainable Homes level; getting paid to generate electricity on site; protecting against rising energy prices; benefiting from the Renewable Heat Incentive; minimising carbon footprint.

Air source heat pumps are positioned outside, adjacent to the building, and have a fan that draws in outdoor air over a large heat exchanger which harnessing the heat energy in the air, even when temperatures are below zero. The captured energy is then transferred to the refrigerant, triggering the refrigeration cycle. Air source heat pumps usually consist of the external unit and an internal unit where hot water is stored and housing the controller and circulation pumps. The installation of an air source heat pump can improve the overall efficiency of your heating system whilst also saving you money on your heating costs.

Wood & Pellet Boilers offer an eco-friendly heating alternative to property owners looking to reduce running costs by replacing fossil fuel, oil and LPG boilers. Connecting to existing radiators and producing hot water, wood and pellet boilers deliver high temperatures which makes them an ideal choice in older properties where it is challenging to reduce heat loss through improving the building fabric. Wood, Woodchip & Pellet boilers are also known as biomass boilers. Biomass is a general term meaning any organic material such as timber or crops grown to be burned in order to produce heat and/or power.
