Established in 1990 as a specialist ductwork contracting company Ductwork Design and Installation Ltd operates from a 15,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester. Over the last 2 decades we have carried out projects at various schools, colleges, academies & universities for many different clients. These projects range from minor alterations & additions to existing ventilation systems through to large scale design and installations on a completely newly built site.
Data centres and server rooms require consistent environmental and climate control, with security monitoring and fire protection also factored in. Our custom built ventilation systems can accommodate your specific requirements down to incremental temperature, specialised fume extraction and humidity levels. We have worked on data centres for organisations including Blackburn Council, Portsmouth University, multiple NHS authorities, Gyron, Swinton Insurance, The Co-operative, CDL, Barclays PLC. We also work on other sensitive/secure sites such as BT telephone exchanges across the country, Drax Power Station, Daresbury Laboratory, BAE Systems, Astra Zeneca which require additional security clearances.
Our highly skilled draughtsmen can provide design solutions for the most complex of projects using the most up to date 3D CAD drawing software. At DDI we have developed unique ductwork items for a number of clients and projects from kitchen extract systems and canopies to ornate rain hoppers and innovative 5 sided ductwork made especially for Marks and Spencers at Middlebrook Retail Park in Horwich. We have also designed entire ductwork systems to fit the specifications of individual clients.
The most efficient way to ensure that your ventilation system and related equipment is operating healthily and efficiently and with reduced breakdowns / call outs is to employ a ductwork maintenance engineer to service & inspect the ducting system on a regular basis. With 25 years experience in the profession, Ductwork Design & Installation Ltd's CRB checked, fully trained service engineers are able to specify that ventilation systems comply with the latest health and safety legislation along with ensuring each system is meeting the required filtration quality and air flow rates.
DDI produce numerous supply only, off the shelf duct items and sundries including dampers, grilles, unistrut, spiral ducting, flex, fixings - these can usually be ordered on a same day pick up or next delivery service depending on availability and location. More complex, bespoke designed and manufactured pieces are also regularly supplied such as Plenum boxes (insulated or uninsulated), heat recovery units and air handling units. Outside of ductwork we have also been employed to construct other sheet metal fabrications including (but not limited to); spray paint booths, fume hoods, mesh cages and covers, portable mobility ramps and steel staircases.
