BN Thermic was founded in 2005 by an enthusiastic management team with over 80 years of experience in the electric heating industry. Since those days our product range has grown considerably but our determination to provide top quality products and the best possible customer service has not wavered. Specialising in electric heaters, heater controls, heating cables and underfloor heating, BN Thermic operates from an 1800m production and warehousing facility in Crawley, West Sussex. The benefits of an effective outdoor heating system are well established. Cafes, pubs and restaurants have all benefitted from the increased revenue generated by customers enjoying an alfresco experience. There are a myriad of outdoor heaters available using very different technologies. However, assuming the area is truly outdoors i.e. Halogen heaters produce shortwave energy which heats people directly without the need to heat the surrounding air. Critically, shortwave energy cannot be blown off course by air movement.

High street shops require reliable heating systems to maintain a comfortable working environment for staff and to provide a warm welcome for customers. Occasionally, there is also a need to protect stock against the adverse effect of cold temperatures. Invariably wall and floor space is at a premium meaning that the preferred location for heaters is wall-mounted at high level or on the ceiling. Over door heaters are commonly used in shops to create a warm welcome for customers and to combat draught when doors open.

Warehouse heating systems are required to provide an acceptable working environment, and/or to protect product from the adverse effect of cold temperatures. Generally, the requirement is for a simple, reliable, no frills system that operates trouble-free year after year. Simple control systems are also required to ensure that the key heating objectives are met with the minimum consumption of electricity. Because warehouses tend to be full of racking, fan assisted heating systems are generally preferred to radiant systems as they encourage the circulation of warm air between and through the racks.
