We work with building managers and FM companies offering high quality, expert advice and legally compliant services for Legionella Control, Kitchen Extract Cleaning, Duct Cleaning, Water Tank Cleaning, Grease Trap Management and Fire Damper testing across a variety of business sectors.
Swiftclean, pioneers of the Ventilation Hygiene Industry, formed in 1982, have been active and significant technical contributors to a variety of ventilation hygiene sector standards and guidance documents published by industry bodies. These include BSRIA (Building Services Research & Information Association), CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers) and The BESA (Building Engineering Services Association). These publications have helped to shape good practice in our field. Quality training in line with these standards has always been within the DNA of Swiftclean, who have always championed the skills development for people in the wider ventilation hygiene trade.
All three sets of guidance now agree on the way to ensure appropriately clean ductwork both at commissioning stage and during service to ensure safer and healthier buildings. Swiftclean helped draft BG49/2013, the second edition of TR/19, which was issued in July 2014, and also provided one of the authors of the original TR/19 document, our MD Gary Nicholls, and its predecessors TR/17 first and second editions. With the use of a variety of extraction devices along with specialised mechanical brushes, air jets and manual methods, Swiftclean can remove all types of contamination, and where microbiological contamination is an identified issue - will disinfect where necessary.
Some of the areas in which you must be compliant are outlined below. To get you started on the path to compliance, we are currently offering a free buildings services audit, so please contact us today. With all our services, excellent work is only half the story. In the event of an inspection, you will need to be able to demonstrate that your shopping centre is compliant; it won't be enough for you to know that it is. We provide all the required documentation, including before and after photographs and post clean and maintenance reports so you can be sure that your service users are safe and you are protected from any liability for negligence.
Kitchen Extract Fire Safety Cleaning is a key aspect of health and safety for Facilities Managers. For the protection of the general public, employees, residents and properties, commercial kitchen extract ductwork must be cleaned and maintained to comply with the new TR19 Grease specification. In the case of a fire, failure to comply or to provide evidence of compliance with TR19 Grease can compromise insurance and expose the responsible person to the possibility of prosecution under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
Swiftclean provides specialist services for Hotels and Stadiums including Kitchen Extract Cleaning for fire safety, Duct Cleaning for ventilation hygiene and Legionella Control services. The biggest fear of any hotel or stadium/sports centre manager is a fire and the ensuing panic as customers and the general public try to escape. Given the scale of catering services in this business sector and the volume of customers processed in a working week, fire prevention is one of the top priorities for stadium and hotel managers.
