The business: To install and maintain fire alarm systems to meet the requirements of British Standard 5839 and emergency lighting to British Standard 5266. The Maintenance Division provides the company with a 24 hour - 365 days a year emergency call out operation to compliment its overall service. We are committed to providing our customers with the highest level of service and support from initial design through each stage of development or installation to the maintenance of a system through its operating life.
Brighton Fire Alarms Limited (BFA) employs a highly experienced and trained team of fire alarm technicians who carry out maintenance inspection tests and repairs of the installed fire alarm systems. The team are trained to service a wide range of fire alarm systems supplied by various manufacturers that may have been installed by BFA or other installers. BFA can provide a complete maintenance programme tailored to suit your individual requirements. This may include an annual fire alarm inspection (testing 100% of the installed system), additional 6 monthly or 3 monthly inspections, monthly emergency lighting tests and weekly fire alarm tests.
To include all aspects of fire preventative measures to either 30 minute or 60 minute fire resistance. This also includes the construction or upgrading of electrical intake cupboards, overboarding ceilings to the required fire rating, fire rated partitions with door sets, down to the installation of the appropriate signage. We have highly trained engineers who will install 30/60 minute fire doors with all the appropriate items i.e intumescent smoke seals, fire rated hinges, overhead door closers and intumescent letter boxes to reach the current fire standards.
Developed to run in tandem with our highly successful fire alarm installation and maintenance departments, Brighton Fire Alarms employs a number of full time electricians to concentrate solely on electrical contracting. Electrical works carried out range from small works such as additional power points, minor repairs, domestic rewires to larger installations at factory and commercial premises. As Brighton Fire Alarms are approved contractors with NICEIC, all works are carried out to the latest revision of BS7671 complete with the relevant certification and are backed up by the E.C.A. Warranty and Bond Scheme.
