Global HSE Solutions started life as a Fire Engineering Company but has grown steadily to incorporate all aspects of Fire Safety Management and Health, Safety and Environmental Solutions. We specialise in providing Fire Safety and Passive Fire Protection from project conception through construction to remedial works. We also offer qualified HS&E consultancy, expert witness services, training and guidance throughout your journey.

Our clients include; Marriott Hotels, Thomas Cook, Leicester City Council, Thames Valley Police, Derby Homes and Melton Borough Council. Global are one of two Hilti ASC contractors and one of four SIG/Rockwool nominated specialists within the UK for all elements of Fire Protection Work. Our Passive Fire Protection Services concentrate on the repair and upgrading of the Fire Compartmentation within existing buildings and provides a FIRAS Third Party accredited service. Total Group employees and coverage is circa 400.

Industrial and New Build premises require special attention in terms of Passive Fire Protection Systems. Global HSE can provide you and your business with expert knowledge and solutions to suit every building's requirements. The aim of Compartmentation is to limit the rapid spread of fire. By dividing building premises into discrete fire zones also referred to as "fire compartments", fire is fought by forming a barrier against smoke, heat and toxic gases. Fire Compartmentation is designed to contain the fire in the area that it started, providing a good fire protection starting point for the building and its occupants regardless of other fire prevention systems.

Global HSE Solutions Ltd specialise in the surveying, upgrade, supply and installation of both timber and composite fire rated door sets. This includes flat entrance doors-sets, cross-corridor fire doors, communal area doors, plant room doors and service riser doors in the likes of offices, healthcare buildings, hotels, leisure facilities, tourist attractions, airports, restaurants, multi-storey and multi-occupancy residential buildings. And any other doors that are required to be fire rated as per the fire strategy for the building.

Global HSE has invested in gathering the best professionals in the industry, obtaining and maintaining up-to-date accreditation, as well as utilising high quality materials for our Passive Fire Protection services. We create and utilise our own Fire Stopping products such as Composite Fire Door Sets, Fire Rated Walls and Ceilings because we pride ourselves in taking full responsibility for our work.

Since 2007 Global HSE has been collaborating with Canary Wharf completing passive fire protection work at various locations throughout the UK. Global HSE has put together a comprehensive passive fire protection plan for Canary Wharf. The buildings were initially surveyed in order for our specialists to better understand the requirements of the building. Thereafter, a comprehensive passive fire protection plan has been put in place together with the Canary Wharf management team. Global HSE has completed structural fire protection as well as passive fire protection works to high rise office blocks, ensuring the safety or both premises and staff.

Global HSE has won the tender for City Point as the most comprehensive and competitively priced. The passive fire protection work was successfully completed with little or no disruption at all to the tenants. Global HSE has worked alongside the building management to organise and implement a full passive fire protection survey of the premises, on the back of the Fire Risk Assessment produced by C.S Todd. The passive Fire Survey provided by Global HSE consisted of a thorough inspection of the compartment walls and floors below the ground level of the building.

Our team of experts has closely worked together with Marriott Hotels towards the development of an action plan to identify active and passive fire requirements in conjunction with Marriott policy. Global HSE have successfully completed Fire Risk Assessments, Passive Fire Protection Work upgrades and bespoke Online Training courses. The Passive Fire Protection work focused on door upgrades, asbestos removal and reinstatement of fire compartmentation integrity following asbestos removal across the UK.

FIRAS certification started in 1994 and has been instrumental in improving standards of installation of fire protection products/systems to the benefit of the construction industry and the clients it serves. FIRAS is a third party certification for installation contractors of both passive and active fire protection systems, operated by Warrington Certification, and accredited by UKAS to EN45011. FIRAS certification is awarded to the contracting company not individual supervisors or operatives. FIRAS certification is strictly controlled to cover only the trade disciplines assessed.

Since 2007 Global HSE has been collaborating with Travelodge for completing Passive Fire Work such as penetration sealing, door replacement and upgrade, as well as general passive fire upgrades throughout the UK. Fire Risk Assessments have also been completed initially and are due to be reviewed every year. Global HSE also provide coverage for emergencies or incidents following floods, fires and potentially enforcement actions at various hotel locations.
