Planwell manufacture and supply top quality PERMAROOF metal roof sheeting, including a full range of specially formed flashings which are also manufactured at our factoryto suit your individual requirements. Purchasing a new roof from Planwell Roofing Supplies will provide you with real, long term value for your money.
Planwell Roofing Supplies was established in 1989 to meet the demand for a quality roofing service by Joiners, Roofing Contractors and DIY enthusiasts. Since that time we have made every effort to remain at the forefront of one of the most competitive of British industries. For many years we supplied roofing materials through our parent company John Duncan Construction, but with a noticeable increase in demand for a wider range of materials connected with roofing we established Planwell Roofing Supplies in 1989.
Installation of Permaroof sheeting & flashings is quick and simple. The roofing sheets are screwed to the existing timber or steel structure with Planwells self drilling fixing screws, a colour cap is then fitted over the screw to match the colour of the sheeting. Permaroof is fitted by hundreds of joiners, builders & D.I.Y. enthusiasts every week - all orders come with Planwell free fitting guide, fixing socket and safety gloves. If you have an existing felt roof, the roof sheets can be fitted on top of this, insulation can also be fitted on top of an existing felt roof or if it's a new project.
Installation is quick and simple and involves fitting Planwell's Insulation Boarding then fitting the Permaroof sheeting on top, this creates a "warm roof" system. It is important during installation that all joints on top of the insulation boarding are "taped" to create an all in one vapour barrier (see diagram) and "T" Bars (support bars) can also be simply installed. Planwell's Insulation Boarding is available ex-works, the standard thickness of board available is 40mm. If you are installing a new roof then it may be that you require a thicker Insulation Board (depending on your Council's "U-Value" requirements).
Great product, strong tough and heavy (in a good way) Pretty much a DIY basic guy and nearly got a 3m by 4m roof on over the weekend. An Impact driver and a decent pair of snips are needed with some good ladders and 500 saved. Give it a go and Planwell give you all you need and hardly any waste. Use small screws to start the big ones is best tip.
