Why GRP? GRP, also known as fibreglass, uses a chemical bond system resulting in a seamless membrane across the entire roof. It is completely waterproof, extremely tough, it can be walked on, can be used on new builds and refurbishments, balconies (non-slip), roof valleys and bespoke projects. Why choose us for your GRP flat roof? We offer a unique system which incorporates two layers of glass fibre - the majority of our competitors use only one layer. Just enough. Our system is a belt-and-braces approach, ie more than enough.
The magnificent hall set in the heart of rural Suffolk was built in 1859 and is now a nursing home. Over the years, extensive weather damage has ruined parts of the sandstone construction, including some of the huge ornamental architraves around the orangery (you can see the glass roof in the picture). This picture clearly shows the state of the existing masonry and also the leaking steel gutter just between the lead capping and the glass of the orangery roof. The affected stonework, along with a previous lining (of dubious nature) was stripped completely off, cleaned and allowed to dry.
