To ensure our customers have the widest possible choice of materials and prices we also import, process and distribute natural stone from all over the world, ethically sourcing high quality natural stone that complements the stone lifted from our own quarries. Our natural stone commercial paving is cut from solid masonry blocks of silver-grey granite, red sandstone and York stone. All British, it is either lifted from our own Herefordshire and Cornish quarries, or sourced from nearby Welsh quarries to be cut and finished here at Black Mountain Quarries. All our commercial paving is bespoke. Ideal for steps, walkways, kerbs and street furniture, we cut to your specification and offer responsive lead times and attractive prices.

This is where our skilled stone masons come into their element. Some of our natural stone masonry products are structural, for example our quoins, cills, lintels, steps and borders. They add strength and traditional character to buildings, window and door frames, hearths, edging and steps. Others are purely beautiful, including our carved signs, date stones and our bespoke stone carving and cutting service for sculptures, stone features and hand lettering. Available in sandstone, granite, limestone and slate, all our natural stone products are timeless, durable, and have a beauty that deepens with the passage of time.

Our roofing tiles are hand dressed and supplied with diminishing courses to create a traditional stone tiled roof. The tiles have a naturally riven surface and come in a range of sizes to suit most buildings. We provide a choice of roofing tiles including local Herefordshire stone from our own quarry, or responsibly-sourced imported stone for customers who are looking for a traditional effect at lower prices. Our local stone roofing tiles are approved by National Parks, and have been used to restore listed buildings such as churches, historic structures and private homes.

Our natural building and walling stone products are available in sandstone, limestone, granite, quartz and slate. A wide range of traditional and contemporary finishes makes our stone ideal for all types of house building, garden walling, retaining walls, internal/external cladding and stone facing. Natural stone has many advantages over other commercial cladding materials. Our ashlar and rainscreen panels are made from real sandstone or granite, which are aesthetically pleasing as well as highly durable. Natural stone panelling weathers gracefully over time. Although cast and reconstituted alternatives may be cheaper in the short term, the longevity and low maintenance of natural stone cladding makes it a more economical choice over the lifetime of a building.
