Forticrete has recently completed a roofing project for premium retirement home and assisted living developer Richmond Care Villages. The work was undertaken in partnership with building and architectural specialist BAM Construction and delivered at Richmond's newest facility in Wood Norton, Worcestershire. With the development located in a rural area, standards were set by the local planning authority meaning the roofing contractor required a tile that would complement the traditional neighbouring buildings.

Forticrete's range of concrete roof tiles, cast stone, walling stone & architectural masonry are unrivalled in their field, having evolved over five decades through close collaboration with our customers in the UK construction industry. By analysing the needs of an ever-changing market and adding our own considerable technical expertise we have developed products that provide an optimum balance of aesthetics, performance and value. Forticrete has long been the driving force at the forefront of innovation in architectural masonry products development and this reputation now extends to the processes we use and the services we provide.

We continue to make steady progress on our corporate governance, environmental, safety and social objectives, reflecting our continued dedication to working towards achieving best practice in all those areas within the UK construction industry. We are aware that we form an integral part of the communities in which we operate. We are committed to ensuring that the genuine needs, views and interests of the local community are taken into consideration and we are sensitive to the impact our operations may have on our neighbours, particularly those in the immediate vicinity of our architectural masonry, roof tile, walling stone, and cast stone manufacturing facilities.

Shot-blast masonry adds a natural weathered appeal. With a broad selection of 'special' shapes and sizes as standard, Shot-blast offers an almost limitless variety of options.

Forticrete have been supplying concrete roof tiles over five decades, developing our range through close collaboration with our customers across the UK construction industry. We've applied our expertise in concrete products to creating an innovative range of tiles; our Gemini roof tile has been awarded the prestigious Millennium Products status by the Design Council, in addition to a Queen's Award for Enterprise: Innovation. Concrete roof tiles are a durable and lightweight alternative to natural clay and slate roof tiles, due to their affordable cost and authentic appearance.

Our Walling Stone has a history that cannot be matched, having provided a cost-effective alternative to natural stone since the 1920's. Both Anstone and Shearstone products are available in standard colour ranges and the enhanced Premier range. This range provides yet further colour options, combined with a weathered appearance, which is almost indistinguishable from natural stone. All of the products are through-coloured, and may be dressed on site to suit individual requirements, while retaining the original colour and texture.

Using concrete alternatives for roofing products, such as roof tiles, hips and vented ridges, offers a cost-effective, aesthetically appealing building solution. Forticrete has a leading range of roofing products that provide roofing companies with confidence and assurance in their suitability, quality and longevity. We offer Roofing Contractors with a wide range of roofing products which save time, money and are easier to lay. Its design provides greater coverage than the more traditional products on the market needing just 8 tiles per square metre compared to the 10 tiles per square metre needed for many natural alternatives.

Lewis started at Forticrete 10 years ago as a Customer Service Advisor. Having spent 5 years in customer services, Lewis took up a position in the Technical Department. This position allowed Lewis to learn directly from the inventors of Forticrete Roofing products and develop an excellent technical knowledge of Forticrete roofing products and both common and complex roofing issues. I enjoy working in the Technical Department because no day is ever the same. One day I can be in the office 3D modelling a new roofing component, the next day I can be out on site conducting a roof survey or speaking to an architect about a roof design.'

Each site has its own unique history and manufacturing capabilities. Our sites blend traditional manufacturing methods with a highly skilled workforce and the most modern technology and machinery to create high quality, highly sustainable products. As a responsible company, Forticrete recognises the impact of its operations and therefore takes into account the environmental aspects and ensures that they are directed towards a cleaner, safer and healthier environment. We are pleased to report our Gender Pay Gap results for 2019. This is the third year of reporting in accordance with UK Government requirements, which were implemented to demonstrate the gap between the pay of female and male employees per hour and also information about bonus payments. We have wholly embraced the new reporting regulations and believe firmly in providing equal opportunities regardless of gender and ethnicity. As a building products manufacturer, Forticrete has traditionally attracted a very high proportion of male employees, especially within factory based production roles.

Forticrete takes its environmental responsibilities very seriously and this is evidenced by the fact that all of our architectural masonry, roof tile, walling stone and cast stone manufacturing plants are certificated to the International Environmental Standard BS EN ISO 14001:2015 and has been awarded BES 6001 for responsible sourcing. Forticrete is acutely aware of its responsibility not to harm the environment during the production of these products. Environmental management is, therefore, an integral part of the management of Forticrete's business.
