Cheshire based G&G Builders is a family run business established in 1999 by Ged Hunter, providing a high quality, personal & stress free building service to home owners. Every building project is managed from initial plans, through to final completion; the emphasis is on quality workmanship & attention to detail, working closely with the Architect or directly with the Client to achieve exactly what is required.
We have carried out many new build house projects for both individual clients & ourselves. In many ways building a new house is easier than extending an existing dwelling!
We carry out many types of house alterations, typically these are either part of a house extension or refurbishment project, but can be a stand alone.
We carry out all types of roofing works, generally as part of alterations or extension works to properties in the Cheshire & South Manchester. If, however, you need a new roof, we are equally happy to carry out this work. Sample tiles or slate are obtained when extending a property to find the best match. Marley plain tiles (small) come in a variety of different colours and can be matched in to most existing roofs when there are budget constraints. Lead work is integral to ensuring roofs remain watertight.
A kitchen is the heart of the home & the layout & design of a new kitchen needs to meet the requirements of the family. We design & build kitchens as part of House alterations & extension works, where a new kitchen is required for a new space. If we are involved at the design stage we can often reduce the cost of the build. Most house extensions will require planning permission & building regulations approval from your local council. Councils may have different views on planning applications depending on where you live.
A bathroom needs to be designed to meet the requirements of the family & it is important that the layout works. We design & build bathrooms, wet rooms & en suites as part of alterations or extension works.
