Ronnie and Diane Benns started R G Benns Roofing Co in 1965 installing good quality built-up felt roofing systems throughout East Anglia. In the early 1980's the company expanded into roof slating & tiling. In the mid 1980's R G Benns roofing Co started repairing and installing industrial roofing & cladding and also lead roofing. In 1990 we moved to our new premises nearer to Norwich on the Rackheath Industrial Estate. In 2004 R G Benns Roofing Co started trading as a Limited company which is now run by Ronnie and Diane's son Steven and their daughter Deborah who carries out part time administration duties.
If you would like to do your own repair why not come and see us, we can offer good practical advice as well as sell you the materials you require. We also have a various stock of fixings, off cuts of torch-on roofing felt for small patch repairs and second hand roof slates & tiles. If you have an awkward lead flashing that is difficult to dress without splitting or creasing, you can bring the lead flashing to us and we will carry out the lead welding as required.
Most of our flat roofing work consists of replacing existing failed flat roof systems. This may include removing the existing roof covering and possibly the roof deck as well if it is in a poor condition. We can then inspect any newly exposed roof timbers and insulation. If required, we can then carry out any repairs and/or insulation upgrades. If the roof deck was removed we would re-board and install a three layer high performance built-up felt roofing system.
