Simon and his team Ivan and Nathan carried out replacement of old timber soffits and fascias along with the guttering.
I'm Simon Steward, founder and director of Anglia Roofline. Every Monday morning, my teams arrive at another home in East Anglia - just as they have more than 4000 times over the last 16 years. Every job we do is different. But our service, and our values, are always the same. Everyone has their own reasons for going into business. When I started out, over 15 years ago, I didn't want to end up as a 'jack of all trades', doing double-glazing and conservatories with roofline as an afterthought. I wanted to be a true specialist.
Gutters disperse water from your roof throughout the year. Installing gutters properly is important because whilst an incorrectly fitted gutter may cope with water from light showers, it could have problems managing during storms. Heavy rain can quickly fill a gutter before the water is diverted to the downpipe and you could have unwelcome overspills around your property. You need to decide how far the rain has to travel and which type of gutter is to be fitted - for example, where you have a run over 10m you may need a shallow gutter with a steeper fall or a deeper gutter that can handle more water (assuming the fascia is tall enough to take a deeper gutter).
If you've spotted any of these problems it really is time to act before your situation gets worse. Attempting to patch an area in the roof felting on a flat roof that's prone to leaking is not always the best solution. Our recommendation, for less hassle for you during fitting and a worry-free long term solution, is to opt for the rubberised (EPDM) solution. Why is this a better choice? RubberCover is suitable for all types of residential flat roof surfaces; from a dormer roof to a summer house, as you can see in the panel of photos of installations.
Functional, well fitted guttering is often overlooked until something goes wrong with them - I meet many homeowners weekly & without doubt the roofline component that causes the biggest headache is the guttering, there are many reasons for this. Often one of the most striking external areas on a property is the Timber External Cladding area found on the front wall or around the dormer windows of your home. It is also the area that requires the most maintenance. 2. A free no obligation quotation with a works schedule will be either emailed or posted to you, the quotation will be valid for six months.
Fascias are a structural component of your roofline so it is important to make sure they are measured and fitted properly. In this article I'm covering fascia and soffit replacement on tiled runs and flat roofs. Before conducting fascia board replacement your first step is to accurately measure the fascia height and length on the tiled run. The solid, level, horizontal line of correctly fitted soffits is your guide for measuring the fascia height. Using a tape measure, measure an end tile in line with the kick of the tile above it.
Hedgehog gutter brush has been purposely developed to solve the ongoing problems caused by gutter blockages. Once hedgehog is installed, you won't have to clear out your gutters from leaves regularly although checking them every spring and autumn is advisable. Very satisfied with the installation, which was carried out effectively by two knowledgeable, polite and hard-working fitters, Nathan and Ivan, who are justifiably praised in other reviews, I see. I can also echo other reviewers in expressing my approval of the whole process, from Simon Steward's initial approach to final delivery, all of which was carried out quietly, efficiently and politely.
There are obvious signs when your soffits, fascia boards, barge boards or guttering need replacing - or at least need some maintenance work carried out. If, after inspecting your roofline, you do decide replacing your roofline is the right thing to do, you're probably thinking. Choosing a professional company, with a good reputation, to install your replacement roofline makes economic sense as well as eliminating the hassle for you. On this website you will find information about how we go about replacing your roofline and why we are a good choice for you if you are located in the Norfolk area.
The roofline protects a property and, as home-owners, we know intuitively just how important a watertight roof is when buying a property. A thorough building roof report should confirm that a tiled roof has enough structural support & that the purlins & rafters are coping with the load imposed on them without sagging. The report should also confirm that there is no water penetration coming inside the rooms & there is adequate ventilation in roof spaces to prevent condensation. The confusion exists because the elements that comprise the Roofline are used interchangeably.
What roofline installation process does the Anglia Roofline Company team follow when changing your old roofline for Replacement Fascias, Soffits or Barge Boards in uPVC? The first step in our roofline installation process is to gain access to the first baton by removing and setting aside (unless pin tile or fixed slate roof) the first row of tiles. Cut back the edge felt with a Stanley knife before removing the Guttering. Remove the timber Fascias, Barge Boards & Soffits. Check the exposed rafter feet for rot.
Bargeboards are installed after the soffits replacement. There are two types of bargeboard design and each is dependent upon how you want the 'box end' to look. To make a box end supportive and cosmetically appealing, you must take exact measurements. There are two box end styles: 'kite and wedge' and 'one piece'. Check what box end style is currently fitted, it is likely to be a 'kite and wedge' which is the most common. If you are lucky it may be a 'one piece' which is easier to fit because you can now get large plastic fascia boards.
