The purpose of the type 1 Asbestos Survey is to locate the presence and extent of any ACMs (Asbestos Containing Materials) in the premises, where reasonably practical, whilst deferring the need for sampling and analysis until a later time. The purpose and procedures in the type 2 Asbestos Survey are the same as a Type 1 Asbestos report, except that samples are taken of materials suspected of containing Asbestos.
