Dan was excellent, he fitted our new boiler quickly and was able to move the position with a minimum of fuss and disruption, the new boiler is both efficient and quiet. Best of all he was extremely competitive, but delivered an exceptional service - Thanks Dan!
DT Services was formed in 2006 by Dan Thomason with a view to becoming Northamptonshire's premier heating and plumbing specialists. If your looking for a radiator or under floor heating system then you have come to the right place.
Air Source Heat Pumps absorb heat from the air outside. This heat is then used to heat radiators, underfloor heating systems, or warm air convector's and hot water in your home. An air source heat pump extracts heat from the outside air in the same way that a fridge extracts heat from its inside. It can get heat from the air even when the temperature is as low as -15° C. An Air Source Heat Pump really does have a minimal impact on the environment, it only needs electricity to run, the heat they extract from the ground, air, or water is constantly being renewed naturally, and costs the environment nothing.
Underfloor heating is a form of central heating and cooling which achieves indoor climate control. There are of course both pros and cons, and many different types of system available, as with all of our services we can help you choose what's right for you. Underfloor heating systems use either electrical resistance elements ("electric systems") or fluid flowing in pipes ("hydronic systems") to heat the floor. Either type can be installed as the primary, whole-building heating system or as localized floor heating for thermal comfort.
We can install all makes of condensing gas boilers but Intergas and Worcester are our preferred range, and generally if we specify a system to you it will be from either of these companies ranges. Depending on your requirement we can offer a basic boiler swap, right to a full central heating system, whether it be a replacement system - or a completely new installation. All boiler changes include updating the control system to current standards, these can be basic user friendly controls right the way up to the latest systems that can be controlled from your smart phone ensuring your heating is on when you need it be.
All of the latest oil boilers are now condensing which means that they are a great deal more efficient than the old non condensing type. As you know oil prices are continually rising, so replacing your old boiler is the best way to save money on both your oil and central heating bill. We install GRANT and Worcester oil boilers as standard, we will of course be able to specify what is required for your house/building. When we install your new boiler we also will give your existing heating system a power flush.
Conventional central heating, as most people would refer to it, is the heating of your home, by one central system. This is most commonly done by either a gas boiler or an oil boiler, but we are seeing more and more renewable energy sources being used, like bio-mass, ground source heat pumps, solar power and many other variations. Essentially in all of the systems mentioned, water or air is heated, and then pumped around your home or building to heat many multiple rooms and spaces. In the case of water based system you will require either Radiators or an Underfloor Heating system, these are essentially heat distribution systems that allow the pumped water to themselves and distribute warmth to a particular area.
