This large Victorian terraced house underwent a comprehensive refurbishment programme to lower running costs and increase energy efficiency through our renewable energy solutions. Heat-loss and increased air-tightness, substantially reducing energy. We were commissioned to upgrade the heating system of this purpose built church which was constructed in 1969. An energy efficient heating system consisting of boilers, radiators and extensive pipe. A new efficient heating system, including a new boiler and new radiators designed to work with the church's existing heating components was installed.

As well as being Gas Safe Register approved too, as well as this we are building standards approved certifier and our association with the Energy Saving Trust and make sure that, as well as our plumbing work being carried out to the highest standard, energy conservation and efficiency are taken into consideration to our thorough design service. Mackay Energy Services Ltd supplied 4 electricians and 6 heating engineers who provided 10 days labour to the BBC's charity ‘Children in Need' featured in the BBC One special programme ‘DIY SOS: The Big Build with Children in Need', helping to transform The Yard Scotland, a centre for disabled children in Edinburgh. As part of the life changing transformation to the centre we installed a new heating system, incorporating solar panels and efficient condensing boilers, kindly donated by our preferred manufacturers Worcester Bosch.

We are Gas Safe Register approved contractors and this area of our business focuses on the installation, repair and maintenance of domestic and commercial heating equipment. Furthermore, many major manufacturers retain us to act as their ‘service agents' and we carry out warranty repairs on their behalf. We are NICEIC and SELECT contractors and we can provide a range of electrical repairs as well as lots of general work and maintenance, of domestic and commercial supplies in a process of through to full design and installation. We will do an inspection for health and safety compliance as requested by insurance companies and 'electrical installation condition reports' (EICR) if you are a private landlord, along with the installation of hard-wired smoke alarms and heat alarms.
