Water Jetting is a process by which high pressure water is blasted through drainage pipes to clean or clear a blocked drain. Water jetting not only assists in removing blockages from drains, but can also help to remove encrustations and loose debris. We offer a competitively priced water jetting service to unblock drains, or to regularly provide a cleaning service that helps keep your drain free from encrustations and debris, which if left could result in costly drain repairs. The water jetting equipment consists of forward and rearward direction high pressure water jets that impact upon encrustations, small tree roots within a drain at jet speeds of up to 400mph, cutting through deposits clinging to the inner wall of the drain or pipe.
Tree and plant roots are adept at penetrating all sorts of materials causing the roots to enter and block pipes (we call this root ingress) and the older pipes made of pitch and concrete pipes and are particularly prone to ingress from trees, shrubs and other thick rooted plants. Once the roots penetrate they grow and block the drainage pipes and sewers. Damage caused can often be very expensive to repair. First used to successfully de-scale corroded cast iron drains and stack pipes, rotary mechanical drain cleaners are used to remove tree root ingress from any material of pipe.
