Heat pumps are an extremely efficient way of providing heating and hot water to your home or business, and can be combined with solar hot water. With an air source heat pump there is no need to dig, drill or have a large plot of land. Instead, the energy is collected directly from the surrounding air using an externally located air module. Ground heat pumps harness the stored solar energy from just beneath the ground surface, via a horizontal collector loop which is located at a depth of approximately one metre below ground level and at a distance of approximately one metre apart.
OHM Energy has a dedicated electrical division that supports our traditional installations of Heat Pumps, Solar and heating systems. Our services cover everything from residential to larger commercial electrical engineering services. No matter what your electrical needs are, we have the right solution, at the right price. So, if you're planning an electrical project, and you're looking for a quality job without the outrageous prices, contact us today to arrange for a free quotation. We can provide advice and guidance, whether you are planning on improving your home or need a qualified electrician to compliment other services and trades.

A little bit of attention can go a long way to keep your solar panels operating at peak performance throughout this snowy period.
Heat pumps are designed for the UK climate so a little snow and ice is normal. A completely frozen unit, however, is not. If your heat pump unit remains frosty or frozen for more than a few hours, it is best to have it checked to avoid any further damage.
