Southeastern is proud to support the local communities in our network through partnerships, sponsorships and community outreach. We're currently finding new ways to extend our service beyond our stations and transform lives. The Kent Community Rail Partnership (Kent CRP) exists to bring together widely varied partners in order to provide social, economic and environmental benefits to the communities served by rural and secondary rail services. The partnership covers the Swale Line Sheerness-on-sea to Sittingbourne, and the Medway Valley Line Tonbridge to Strood via Maidstone West.

We've recently given all our trains a heavy-duty spring clean as part of a multi-million pound project to ensure they are tip top for passengers. Over 300 of our trains have been scrubbed, vacuumed, shampooed and polished. Pluckley, Longfield, Meopham, Bearstead, Cuxton, Otford and Beltring were among an initial batch of 31 stations to benefit from this refurbishment work. Crossrail is the biggest construction project in Europe and is one of the largest single infrastructure investments undertaken in the UK.

Southeastern works together with industry partners, contractors and suppliers to reduce our environmental impact and measure and report on our performance. We're always looking for ways to improve how we work and go beyond what the law and regulation require of us. Carbon reporting relates to Scope 1 &2 and includes electricity and gas, does not include fugitive emissions from air conditioning equipment (where this is available) and estimates of emission from road vehicle use. Scope 2 emissions include both a 'location' and a 'market' basis.
