Every single component used to make our kitchens is hand made from scratch in our Penistone workshop using locally Yorkshire sourced quality materials. The only product we buy is our high spec wirework, and thats the finest money can buy. We are a small family business and make our furniture the traditional way with mortice and tenon joints using old cast iron machinery in the time honored method. Each of the wooden components in a Love Wood handmade kitchen may be handled 40times before it is installed in your home.

Hand Painting offers a more matt finish to woodwork, which may be more desired with a period home or a room with very strong architectural influences. Love Wood's favourite timber is oak - the timber of kings. Oak is one of the strongest types of wood, whether it's English, European or even American Oak. Its grain is full of character and has historically always been associated with quality furniture. It's a very versatile timber and is happily used in contemporary and traditional kitchens alike from doors through to solid oak worktops.
