Based in the heart of the Chiltern Hills and established in 1912, Verco has grown on the same site and now occupies over 50,000 square metres of covered production space.

William Vere & Sons was founded in 1912 by the grandfather of Derek Vere, our current Managing Director. William Vere was a craftsman chairmaker who made Windsor chairs. This classic wood chair was the staple product of the area, due to the abundant supply of locally grown timber. At this time there were still "chair bodgers" living in the woods around High Wycombe, who felled the beech trees and converted them into turned legs and parts and then sold them to the many chair factories in the town.

However for those special customers seeking a particular solution, we are able to offer bespoke design solutions, developed and produced to the high quality VERCO has gained its reputation. From the moment we receive your enquiry, we make every effort to ensure we achieve the perfect solution to meet your requirements. All products are inspected before despatch. Verco office furniture limited undertake to repair or replace any structural part which proves to be faulty, when used under normal office conditions, provided it is returned to our works, carriage paid, within five years of manufacture. VERCO are so confident in the quality of the materials and workmanship within our products that we offer a full 5 year guarantee on everything that we produce, however to reflect the superior strength of our furniture frames we offer a 10 year guarantee on the framework of the: DNA, Oblique and Visual Beam furniture collections.

With over 50,000 square metres of production space and by using the latest technology in manufacturing processes, allied to the skills and craftsmanship of our dedicated workforce, we have established ourselves as a major manufacturer of both seating and furniture solutions. Our portfolio represents the culmination of over 100 years of experience within the furniture market. Only sustainable materials are used in our processes. These are checked and tested under our BS EN ISO 9001:2008 Quality Assurance standards, both before and during our production process, enabling us to have confidence to give every piece of furniture and seating a full five year guarantee.

We been manufacturing high quality chairs and cabinet furniture since we were established in 1912, developing our specialist skills working with high quality materials in upholstery, woodcutting, assembly and finishing. Systems have been established to identify all relevant environmental legislation so as to ensure that we meet all resulting requirements. Pengelly Design, a London-based studio specialising in furniture and product design, was founded by British designer Simon Pengelly in 1993. Pengelly's formative training at the bench provides a background of pragmatism that underscores the intelligent solutions that come from his materials and process led approach to problem solving, resulting in products of lightness, understated simplicity and trademark timeless appeal. Quietness, possibly above all else, is a quality the best products possess in that they don't follow trend, rather they possess a character born of thoughtful regard to function, materiality, environment, intuitiveness and familiarity, without the need to shout.

The design philosophy of VERCO Office Furniture is not solely based on producing new furniture and seating. Rather it is focused on emphasising the importance of these products on the well being of everyone within the workplace, to boost an organisation's ability to innovate and thrive and to create workplaces of the future. We work with leading designers, such as Roger Webb and Simon Pengelly, in addition to having our own talented and experienced design team at Studio Verco. These relationships have given our entire portfolio a level of design and aesthetic finesse, with an engineering and ergonomic lineage that is second to none.
