Elaine Phillips started the business in the 1960's and was a founder member of the National Association of Decorative Fine Arts. She was joined by her husband, Colin, in the 70's and her daughter, Louise, in 1985. The business continues to be run by Louise Phillips - Regional Representative for the Northern Region of The British Antique Dealers' Association, Council Member and Chairman of the PR and Marketing Committee. Member of Vetting Committees for the BADA Antiques Fair, London. Louise also acts as a consultant and agent for several European collectors and has advised many private clients on the development and curating of their collections.
Elaine Phillips Antiques and Interiors have, for the past 30 years, designed a range of hand painted furniture, mirrors and lamps. These are hand made in the traditional way by craftsmen, some of whom are second and third generation carvers, painters and gilders - each piece is hand painted or gilded to blend with either classic or contemporary settings. Our latest range, some items of which you can view on our web site or in our showrooms in Harrogate, uses a subtle palette of cream, grey, coffee, pale aqua and ivory tones.
