Gate design type 301 uses a simple traditional hinging method for hanging the gate on a bollard. However this can cause undue stress to both the bollard and hinge mechanism. This type of gate is only suitable for hanging up to 1.8m long gate leaves. In response to the limitations of hinged gates we have developed a range of pivoting bollard gates. By utilising a bearing in the top portion of the bollard the whole assembly pivots around an internal steel core. With no external moving parts strength and durability are greatly increased.
This traditional fencing offers elegance and security whilst allowing freedom for architectural content. Finials and vertical bars are in various styles, some of which are illustrated. Gates to match fence sections are also available. Designs comply with building regulations and can be installed to follow RoSPA guidelines. CIS offer a wide range of street furniture in a contemporary stainless steel. All stainless steel is supplied satin polish finish in Grade S304 stainless steel; Grade S316 is available for marine environments. Stainless steel is low maintenance, strong and durable. With its contemporary look it is easy to see why this material is finding its way into many new build schemes as well as re-vitalising existing developments and townscapes. Stainless steel is resistant to vandalism. There is no paint which can be carved in or scraped off, the material is inherently anti-corrosive and the low adhesion factor means graffiti is more easily removable.
