From time to time you find a sofa or chair that is really comfortable and fits you like a glove - and then it wears out. The fabric fades or gets thin, everyday life leaves its mark and maybe the comfortable seat becomes a little flat or lumpy. Time to get a new one - or is it? If you've got a chair or settee you really like you can have it recovered and restuffed so you get your favourite seat back. You'll also be able to choose the new upholstery from a huge range of fabrics - many more than the options you would be able to select from in a new furniture store.
Lomas And Pigeon have built a solid reputation based on giving our customers the look and feel they desire. Our team are very experienced in all areas of interior design for the home and workplace. We can help you with your soft furnishing design & colour schemes. Why not ask us to come and see your home, measure and discuss your ideas, requirements and colour schemes. From there we will be able to provide you with an idea of costs and obtain samples.
French polishing is a good old-fashioned art. Traditional French polish uses a process of building up a shellac-based lacquer that is done by hand giving your furniture a clear, deep shine until it positively glows. The lustre that can be achieved on any piece of furniture will revive even the tiredest tables, desks, bureaus and sideboards. French polishing takes time and the knowledge of how to develop the layers of polish to create that perfect finish - but it's worth every second when you see the final result.

In fact, a study has shown that the annual carbon cost of an antique can be as little as one sixteenth of modern replacements. Antiques Are Green is a great way to do your bit to help the green movement, whilst benefiting from having the furniture you love restored to its former glory.
