Portable Appliance Testing or PAT testing, is an electrical test which must be carried out on any piece of electrically equipment which is not fixed. This test is a preventative test which reduces the risk of future failure as well as reducing the likelihood of the equipment causing a fire or personal injury. The electricity at work regulations 1989 require that any portable electrical equipment that has a potential to cause injury is maintained in a safe condition. Beacon International have a number of trained and competent engineers who can test and certify your electrical equipment using one of our PAT testing machines.
