Hugo Lamdin Furniture is based in a beautiful former dairy on a working farm, surrounded by Oxfordshire countryside and in proximity to some excellent local timber suppliers. Inside the workshop traditional tools and apparatus stand side by side with state-of-the-art machinery, allowing Hugo to work simply and honestly but also, when needed, draw on the best of what modern technology has to offer. The dairy has been renovated into a fully equipped furniture workshop, but evocative period details from its former life remain.

Hugo also takes on a range of specialist joinery commissions, from bespoke hardwood exterior and interior doors to windows or entire staircases. Your home is unique, so why settle for generic fixtures? Skilled at making the most intricate of joints, Hugo will ensure that even the fittings and fixtures in your home are a lively expression of your character.

Hugo works with only the finest quality hardwoods, from smooth White Ash to warm European Oak or stunning Black Walnut. In our modern world, with its bewildering array of manmade materials, wood alone can turn function into beauty, so Hugo's furniture-building honours the simplicity of wood, celebrating its natural character, never over-treating it or trying to turn it into something that it isn't. Hugo also brings together the skills of metalworkers, leatherworkers and glassworkers, and, if a client requires it, can combine materials in striking, unusual ways.

Much of Hugo's work is centered on bespoke single-piece commissions for individual clients, but he's also experienced in developing entire interior design solutions, and in building complete sets of furnishings for rooms. Hugo will consider function, material, texture and lighting, and how such things interact with one another, to ensure your space comes seamlessly together.

What's new?

Come on! Everyone needs furniture in their life! Come and buy some furniture! Good I'm glad that's sorted.
