Since we aim to rehome the donations we recieve, we may only accept good quality furniture. This enables us to either sell it or rehome it, both of which directly helps those in need. We cannot accept items that have major damage, such as dents, rips & tears, or discolouration. If your furniture has major damage, but you still want to help a great cause, you can use our bulky waste service. Please be aware that any flammable items such as upholstery, pillows, padded sofas or beds require a fire saftey label by law.
The Furniture Donation Network is a 'Community Dotcom' charity portal developed by social entrepreneur Steve Jackson OBE, founder of Recycling Lives - a Queen's Award-winning commercial recycler and social welfare charity. The Furniture Donation Network project aims to provide people across the UK with an easy way to donate very good and excellent quality furniture to local charities. Furniture Donation Network helps to support the Recycling Lives charity, which fights homelessness and helps the vulnerable by providing life-changing training, work placements and accommodation.
